    Reassess Your Chess Study Group:  Here's the 2nd test from pg 32 of our text.  See if you can find the key moves, and then follow IM Silman's description of the position by consulting pg 432 of the text.

     

     
    Play continued after the puzzle sequence was complete...but if you got through the sequence of moves in the puzzle, you understood the strategy for this one.

    i know it was a knight move to rook at d4  so pawn i didnt know the path after a few tries i got it

    I'll admit, I'm getting these because I got the book for Christmas...

    Although I'm only part way through the Rook section. But I remember both this and the prior one.

     

    And I don't remember how I did when I first saw these in the book though.

    Could white save the pawn with 1. g3? - it looks dubious opening the diagonal with the bishop and rook on it, but is it playable?
