The Life of Brian is indeed a masterpiece. I read that Monty Python were pretty big in Germany too. Can you recommend any good German Godless stuff to read/watch? I've visited Germany a few times (Cologne, Munich & Essen) and really enjoyed it. From what I saw there is a really strong alternative culture there. Reading about German politics, I was struck by "Christian Democrats" and "Christian Socialists". Do you think church/religion really affects policy there? It can't be as scary as the US...see Rick Perry & Michelle Bachmann!

Christian Democrats" and "Christian Socialists are Christians by name. They are the same as what you have as Conservative party I guess. Germany is very mixed. Now 'our Pope' will come to Berlin and the people of Berlin are protesting just as the Spanish ... against the state paying and the pope speaking in front of parliament. ...

Personally I don't care. Let him speak. save the money for better...
