Dawkins is an extremist in so far as he actively preaches against a beleaf in god/the supernatural, it is this act of preaching so vehemently which has led many to accuse him of a kind of anti religion religion and thus a form of hypocrisy. in support of dawking, it is in response to the religious zealots who refuse and ignore all evidence of evolution that dawkin him self replies with a similar zeal, and i would argue understandably so, i would say the world we inhabit requires bounds in which the human mind and society can function, and if these limits are left to the Beck and call of are imaginations then were is the limit. The moon could be made of blomonge, and who can prove otherwise .these imaginings can reach bazaar and dangerous extremes,'there was no holocaust, men never landed on the moon, there is a global conspiracy for the Jews to take over the worlds finances, the world was made by god and all fossil records are a plant by the omnipresent to fool and trick we humble mortals' etc etc... we have a mechanism designed to cope with reality and from that we have science, and a level of proof that we are better of not ignoring. I personally fall some were in the middle between dawkin and the supernatural. i have no doubt there is much beyond science we do not understand or understand only in an intuitive way or simply do not perceive in our imagination but which is none the less there in an unimagined corner of the universe. But the reality we share is definable, and the best mechanism for that definition is science, and the evidence is provable by the laws of empirical study, and only when that proof falls short do those laws permit a fever exploration within the frame work of logic to stretch of our minds in to that realm of the infinite we call our imaginations...hmmm

Science is questions that may never be answered, Religion is answers that may never be questioned...

I have read, all of these, statements, now, here is my answeres contenting. This Universes, is of a big one, so big, that, it firstly, produces, space, enough, for life and every things, to flurish, and ever things, inside of the sames way of recyclements work, where planets, have of, seasons, so dose our Universes, magnet, a way of directions, for every things governings, this though, dose not mean, there is no godly behind every things, except, godly is also, part of a recyclings space, and as we beings, live for a very short length of lifes, we should mearly accept of this, and move on. The end. @lurchersroy2

Dawkins is a legend!
He believes in education and the pursuit of knowledge through experiments, obeservations and the Scientific method. As opposed to believing what was written down by a peasant thousands of years ago, a peasant who didn't even know the earth rotated around the Sun.
Religion causes division, and has no intrinsic value to humanity.
Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss have a new film out called "the unbelievers".. Well worth a watch, if you get a chance.
My 2 pence.
It should also be noted - The people who wrote the bible never met, witnessed, or spoke to Jesus. The bible was written 40-70 years after Jesus had died.
