That weird sicilian variation he played has lead to a close and closed game. My black game looks pretty solid though. I think I have him. I predict at least a split, but its too early to get over confident. I'm not giving much time to chess right now becuase I am going to defend my thesis next week and I'm moving across the country 10 days later, so it's hairy here.

As round 1 progresses, post the results of your games here. I'll do my best to keep this thread up to date myself, but it's really nice to see how we are coming along.
First off our first 4 wins were due to timeouts, both of my games and Shallowfritz were won on time. Free points for us, we'll take em :).
I"m glad to see everyone in our group is playing diligently, and while kings of the square table are pushing back there are still lots of points for us to snag up. I've skimmed over the two games we lost, they were well played, I hope to analyze them in great detail later to pick up a few things myself.
All in all this match up is progressing nicely, I took a few skims over the remaining matches and it's looking good for us to come out on top at this point, still lots of points that are in the air, undecided. Can't wait to see what the next couple weeks brings.
