  It is time for our Scandinavian Defense Tournament! Here are some simple rules that everyone must follow:

1. The Scandinavian Defense MUST be played. If you do not play it, you may given an automatic loss or even kicked out of the tournament. Just start at the normal starting position and play 1. e4  d5. After that, it is your choice!

2. When you challenge someone (I will post who to challenge here), name the game "Scandinavian Defense".

3. When a game is completed, send me a message, and I will edit the rankings.

4. Also, when you finish a game, send me in a message, just the first 10 moves. Thanks!

1450. Do we put a Scandinavian as the starting position or just start from standard and play the moves? I think since the opening moves are mandatory we might as well put them as starting position.

Just start from the normal starting position and play from there.

Ok, here are the updated rules for the tournament, and players so far:

1. The Scandinavian Defense MUST be played, just start at the normal starting position, and play 1. e4 d5. Failure to play the Scandinavian may result in an automatic loss, and doing it twice can get you kicked out of the tournament.

2. When you challenge someone for the tournament (I will tell you who to challenge and when), name the game "Scandinavian Defense".

3. When a tournament game is completed, send me the results, and I will edit the rankings.

4. Send me in a message, the first 10 moves of your tournament game. Thanks!

5. The first 16 people to post, get to join.

I have lost on time many times (The reason for my low rating), becauase I forgot to go on Vacation!
