What's your favorite Doors song that wasn't a hit (meaning that it wasn't released as an A-side)?

My two are The End (some may argue that was a hit-it was released as a single in Mexico) and The Crystal Ship.

so many....wishful sinful, end of the night, strange days. I have to admit, though, that crystal ship was my favorite song for years on end and probably will be again some day.

"People Are Strange" yet the unexpected can be most entertaining.   "Maggie M'gill", an "L.A. Woman" I met at the bar while listening to some "Roadhouse Blues", whispered in my ear that she wanted to "Do It".  Maggie was way-y-y too hot and my defenses were weakened.  She nearly made me "Go Insane" when she suggested that we play "A Little Game" of hide & seek with my "Bird Of Prey"!   When she then teased me regarding how she planned to "Take It As It Comes"; this "Wild One" had me totally under her spell!  So a "Moonlight Drive" down "Love Street" was simply inevitable........

At the "End Of The Night" though there is always a price to be paid.  So here I now lay by a sleeping "Gloria" who is definitely one "Unhappy Girl".  My "Queen Of The Highway" has her clothes on and her back to me in a most unwelcoming way.  Any married person can tell you that this is a very bad sign.....  So as I hum the "Poontang Blues", "Cars Hiss By My Windows" and I just lay here "Waiting For The Sun".   There is better than a "5 to 1" chance she will not even be willing to "Touch Me" when she awakens...   Sure, I could "Petition The Lord With Prayer", but "The Celebration Of The Lizard" is unlikely to happen for me today!  I "Lament" knowing how "We Could Be So Good Together" but acutely aware there will be no "Wintertime Love" in store for me today......  "I Love Her Madly", but I expect that "When The Music's Over"; "Gloria" will inform me I am spending one very "Blue Sunday" in "The Palace Of Exile".  I am just thankful that my "Peace Frog" won't be sitting atop a "Severed Garden" in some sort of "Soft Parade" like that poor Bobbit fellow...   "Someday Soon" I hope to be back in the clutches of "My Wild Love"

"The End"

My top 5 Doors songs would be:

5) The End

4) When the Music's over

3) 5 to 1

2) People are Strange

1) Light my fire

There are dozens more that I love to hear but these would be my favorite

five. It's nice to see other Doors fans at this site. I wonder if any of the Doors

played chess?

Thanks joaoporto,

I liked what u said about Morrison's rating because my last offical

uscf rating (USA rating) was nearly identical to that (if I remember

correctly it was 1555) although it has been over a decade since I

have played in uscf tournaments.  Anyone else want to state their

favorite Doors songs?

My favourite is "soul Kitchen"let me sleep all night in your soul Kitchen;warm my mind near your gentle stove;turn me out and I'll wander baby stumblin in your neon groves.Jim Morrison could have been at home with Wordsworth or Shelley,Byron or Keats.
