OK, where is the strangest place you've played a game of chess? For me it was in the back of an old prison bus we used when touring with Back Flagg and DOA. The bus still had a wire gate and schackles for the prisoner's legs at the base of the seats.

A good friend and i hiked to the top of a mountain here in Tasmania a year ago and, of course, took a travel set up with us. We were up there for a couple of days and played 30-something games.

I played a "surreal" (and somewhat intoxicated) game of chess with a total stranger in a club in Indianapolis, Indiana at 2:30 in the morning DURING a show once. It was totally weird. I think I won, I don't remember. There were people moshing right next to us and there we were, playing a cerebral game like chess. At one point, a random guy threw up nearby us and we just kept plyaing. Like I said, it was weird.
