To continue to discussion, I think it is a foregone conclusion that the Texans will not make the playoffs even if they do finish 9-7 which I doubt.  The more likely outcome will be another 8-8 or 7-9.  Kubiak has one more year or at least that is what the press is reporting.

The obvious weekness of the team is being able to finish games.  Considering we have lost 4 games or more by not being able to seal the deal.  If that dynamic does not change I do not see how the coach can survive the 2010 season.

I would agree that if this trend continues in 2010, that Kubiak's job will be gone. One of the things that I will say that Texans definately need to address this off-season is getting a new kicker.  Nothing disheartens a team more than coming up with a beautiful last minute drive to get into field goal range and then they miss the field goal.  Kubiak cannot kick the field goals for the team and when you lose to the Colts and Titans on missed last minute field goals when the offense drive 40+ yards in the last minute of the game to get you into field goal range, that kills the moral of a team.

I think it is a foregone conclusion that Kris Brown will not be a Texan at the the end of the season.  Here are a couple of other big items that need to be fixed (in order of importance):

1.  Get a RB that can punch it in on the goal line.  We were just terrible in that catagory.  Chris Brown sucks, get rid of him.

2.  Fix the kicking game.  Kris Brown, fired!

3.  Get a good safety.  Use the number 1 pick to address this weekness in the D
