Hey guys, here is a great song I found

    The Bible Is Bullshit Lyrics
    Artist(Band):Corporate Avenger
Review The Song (5) Print the Lyrics
In the history of the human race
Of all the inspirations for the separation of man from his true tribal culture
Of all the inspirations for the acts of violence from one man onto another
From one nation onto another, from one oppressor onto the oppressed
There is no more guilty party and inspiration than those books known
As the Holy Bible, the Koran, and the Bagavad Gita to spread separation of mankind

The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie
The Bagavad Gita did not fall from the sky
These are the books that were written by men
They've caused wars, now follow if you can

They took away our love and gave us fear
Tried to make us hate the one who put us here
Then they took our sacred songs and made them wrong
Then they took away our prayers and gave us theirs

The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie
The Bagavad Gita did not fall from the sky
These are the books that are written by men
They've caused wars, now follow if you can

First they created sin so they could win
Then they built the cages they could put us in
Then they took away our tribes and gave us jail
Then they took away the Earth and gave us hell

The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie
The Bagavad Gita did not fall from the sky
These are the books that are written by men
They've caused wars, now follow if you can

It's time for you to love one another
It's time for you to recognize your brother
It's time for us to stop killing our mother
It's time for us to care for each other

I do not consider the bible divine.  However, out of respect for those who do, many I love, I will not call it bullshit.  Some take that shit seriously.Tongue out

Haha, nice song!! Luckily we don't have too many christians in Denmark who believe that the bible is to be taken literally. They see it more as something to guide them and in which they find meaning when life seems meaningless... However I will still call the bible bullshit! =) Maybe I wouldn't be as anti-christian if it wasn't because so many especially American (sorry Americans =] ) interpret every word as coming directly from this entity called God - an entity which they have sole ownership over..

    Bullshit in what sense?

It isn't a complete fabrication, and though I agree it is far from a 'divine truth', it can be used to trace some history.

In that case, I'd say we'd have to admit that we are all ourselves bullshit.

We may think we are 'true' to others but often massage our message to retain an image of ourselves we want to project, and we often deceive our own selves with 'rationalization' so that we can live with our often unsavory decisions and unseemly behavior.

I don't care if people want to pray to rocks as long as they don't insist that I also have to pray to rocks, or that I must teach my children to pray to rocks.

I don't understand why the Bible is given such reverance as it was written by men and not some divine being. Its flawed and in some parts hateful, but i will admit that there are bits that can tell us how to be better people, but most of which are just common sense and decency. Why is it that these so called religious people hate atheist's so much when if they are right about there being a god then should'nt they pity us for missing out.

The best are yehovah witnesses: they say that there are only so many places in paradise, at the same time they advertise for those places. Don't they think, the more people in the boat, the less places for them?

Even if people say they are following the bible completely, it is impossible under our laws today.

Atheists are part of the few groups of people it is still okay, or even encouraged to discriminate against. Religious people hate us because we are denying something that they were brainwashed to believe in. To them it's as if someone came up to them and said, "the earth is round, but we live on the inside of it. There's fog blocking our view of the other side of the world" The thing that seperates us from them is that we WOULD believe that if evidence supported it, whereas religious folk only believe what their god tells them.

Penn is hilarious, but I would council against calling it "the goddam Bible".  That's a hard slap to those who actually believe that stuff.  As I have stated before, my problem with religion isn't that they believe ("....it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."  T.J. 1782).  My problem is when they interject their belief into public discourse, and eventually, into public policy.
