    Hello fellow gambiteers!

Here's the game that introduced the From Gambit to the world. Enjoy. Smile

Magnus Oscar Møllerstrøm - Martin Severin Janus From (~1862). The game introducing the From Gambit, in the German magazine Schachzeitung, in the July/August 1862 issue.

Greco analyzed 1.f4 e5 in the 1600s and  Du Mont played it in 1802.  Steinitz played it in 1863 and beat Bird with it in 1886.  Blackburne started playing it in 1879 and Lasker was playing it in 1889.  In 1898 Janowski, Pillsbury and Tarrasch were all playing it.  Marshall was playing it in 1903 for several years.  Nimzovich took it up in 1905.  Keres was playing it in 1957.
