    Hello again everybody,

I thought I'd post this game, where I ended up in a position that I always wish I could achieve. Sometimes, it's just nice when it all comes together!

As always, comments and criticisms are welcome.

Well played by everybody in the tournament!

Black's third move was really weird; I can't find any redeeming quality in it except to doubly protect the e5 at the expense of shutting in the other bishop.  I liked how you relocated the bishop to c2, I've been playing that myself in the same Ruy Lopez tournament.

Very nice checkmate at the end, not sure if I would have ever seen that.

Though you were up a minor piece, you still played smart chess and it was fun to watch your plans come to fruition.  I can't find any real mistakes on your part, only ones that black made and you look advantage of.

Thanks Wolfstriker, these plans don't usually come together, so it's especially satisfying when it does work!

On a side note, in looking back through the game, I realised that I won by checkmate without losing a single pawn. I can't think of a single game that I've played recently where that's happened!

Before I get too smug though, I ran it through chess.com's analysis and it picked out a few faults, so there's definitely scope to improve! Here's what it said:
