I am new to this game, but what i've learned so far is this, put your king always on front of you pawn if you are going to make a queen out of it. if you play it right there is no way that you are going to lose it. also when you see the end game coming, start killing those unprotected pawns, they might become queens if you let them

Well actually I think is gaining the opposition when it comes to pawn+king vs lone king but if its lone kingvsking+pawn then its the critical squares.  And learning to "lose" a turn is usefull too. Rooks belong passed pawns is a principle. Also the king is a strong attacking piece in the endgame once all the heavy and minor pieces are gone.

to me..my endgame is all about counting...counting the pawns, the piece, the moves, time, and the squares to which the passed will take to become queen,

the endgame is about position.  getting your pieces in position to block, trap, or delay your opponent from gettign the advantage

this is also the best time to show how strong your king is.

at that time if youyr queen is gone, the king takes the cener stage and runs the show

Bring the king into the game, he is stronger than a knight or bishop!

Also dont always depend on youre king because you might stale mate him. Use minor pieces if you have them too as youre advantage. And watch out for knight vs bishop bishop of opposite color and queen vs two rooks.

I hear 2 rooks are better than a lone queen. How?
