As suggested, this will be the report station for our tournament. The tournament procedures, who vs. who, the results, etc.

So, who of you here have decided to join? If there would be more than six participants I will not join. I wil handle the tourney instead.

If any of you is interested but does not know how the tournament will be, it will be at live chess. We'll all decide how much time be allotted to each player here at the forums.

 for instance, there will be six participants, namely  A, B, C, D, E, F.

 Then,

A vs. B

C vs. D

E vs. F

The players themselves will decide when they want to have the game. But in order to manage time, their game must be not later than three days after the assignments of who will play who.

If there would be less than eight participants, the tournament will go for a round robin type. If the number exceeds eight, we will have it the Swiss system tournament.

seems like not many of the members of Phil.Chess Society are interested in the tourney. I have to tell you nerdie that now I think I will give up in organizing the tourney one reason is that the computer which I am borrowing at our neighbors home has bogged down and now I'm just renting in internet cafes.Sorry.

U know at chess.com online chess home u cud maybe set up a tournament just for Filipinos or just members of Phil. chess society.then maybe we cud play round robin format with all games against all players starting at day roster is complete. thats possible since its its turn based chess. This is whats being done right now in tournamnets I have joined here also in Chess.com

Others have created exclusive tourney for their group. I can see lots of Pinoy in other tournament. Someone only need to start.

At chess.com we cud now create a tournament,I TRIED, however you need to have a minimum of 20 finished games to be qualified to administer and I have less than 10, so maybe anyone of our fellow Philippine Chess Society members who have more than 20 finished games could please start one.I advise you keep entrants to 16 to 32 players only for KNOCKOUT type tournament and 10 to 20 players only for ROUND ROBIN type where all players play against everyone simultaneously(this is possible since its TURN BASED(3days/move).Maybe you cud title the tournament "1st Phil. Chess Society Internet Tourney" where entrants must be, just for example: Filipino, member of Phil. Chess Society, must have minimum chess.com rating of 1400, etc... - just giving you ideas.
