I have it, but I still new to Linux and Ubuntu.
But for those who have it, what do you think about it?
The only thing I want to say about it is faster booting ROCKS!

I'm running beta now. It's fantastic! The AWN dock is much improved, and can be situated on any screen edge!
It's also booting faster.

I been using 10.04 since the beta2 and it rocks! It seems to be very stable, I like the new theme (except the wallpaper), I like the new music store, and it boots in 9 seconds on my ssd!
I really like the way ubuntu is heading. I think the small changes in this release will go a long way in the adoption of ubuntu. This release is really fun to use! If they keep up the good work apple and microsoft will really have somthing to fear!
Yeah, the wallpaper is to bright for my eyes and a bet for everyones'. Also, I think Ubuntu is heading in the right way and I think the commuty will make a scare for Mircosoft and Apple.

Right now using in my new mini-notebook. Processor works slow - atom 1.7 - in windows7 but rocks in Lucid Lynx 10.04!
Methinks, Linux runs under the Windows XP standards.
Maybe you just have bad luck with Ubuntu.
anyone here ever tried Ultimate Edition?
Ubuntu 10.04 has a known problem like Schachgeek experienced. The LTS still seems to be fine. Expect the next version to be better. The recent problems in 10.04 is not typical for Ubuntu. I also had some install problems with the PPC version. For my main workstation I will continue to run Linux Mint for now. Very closely related to Ubuntu anyway. Almost the same. Just a few polished tweaks. I have a little imac that I use for DVD and music with Ubuntu using XBMC. I like it! Makes for a nice little entertainment box.
Check out the LinuxMint here... http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
That's my thoughts anyway.
nulesus - you're opinion of Linux Mint is right on - it's quite dependable and useful. I recommend it highly to anyone who asks. I may switch back to it very soon, if only because it uses sun java as opposed to openjdk and the icedtea plugin. These work now with most applications except the one I need for entering grades for school (weird thing - icedtea usually runs this app when I use sidux!)
Otherwise, regular Ubuntu really is great!
Gentoo is awesome for building servers. Especially for unique hardware and special requirements. I have used Sabayon several times. Although I don't use it very often, I DO like it. I can't blame any distribution for being based on Gentoo. It's like having the right tool for the job. And in my distribution toolbox I have (in no particular order)...
Ubuntu, LinuxMint, Gentoo, Sabayon, Debian, OpenWRT, and an occasional Slax.
Oh I forgot Vyatta for routers that compete with the likes of Cisco.
I don't care for RedHat or Fedora anymore, cause of their short sided business model. So for schools or business that require support I seriously recommend Ubuntu LTS.
Sabayon is a great choice! I have used and liked it!
