The Ugong Chess Club Tournament will kick-off this Saturday May 15, 2010 9:00am at F. Legaspi Memorial School Compound, Ugong, Pasig City. Organized by Ugong Chess Club headed by Rolly Linan and Franco Camillo and sponsored by SK Barangay Ugong and Barangay Ugong Council.

The event shall be played in two (2) format with the same prizes: 15 Years Old and Above (Open to 1950 and Below NCFP Rapid Rating) and the 14 Years Old Under (Exclusive to Ugong Residence only). At stake is a total cash prize of P 8,000 with the champion getting a top purse of P 2,000. Other winners will get P 1,000-2nd place, P 500-3rd Place, 4th P 350 and 5th P 250 each with trophies and medals. The award for the Top female P 500 plus medal will be given to 14 Years Old Under.

The tournament will be supervised by the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters (NAPCA) headed by chief arbiter Rolly Suarez.
