Unexpected Resignation

    Hi, I just thought I would share the ending of my game with Steviera in our match - Tigran Petrosian Chess Group v Christian Chess World. It features some nice little touches which you may enjoy .....

    In the diagramed position my opponent resigned much to my astonishment. I was under the impression I was struggling for a draw! So I started to look for the justification and came up with the lines in the diagram! However, the whole idea was flawed as there was still a way for Black to save the game. Notice the drawing line is contained in the notes - click Move List to see .... You can then click on individual lines in the branches to see them on the board....

    A lesson to all lower rated players not to be overawed by a much higher rated player. We are all human but I guess some are more human than others ;)...

    I would definetely not resign here at the final position, where Black stop the game in most interesting place!

    The Rook +Bishop VS Rooks generally Won about 70%, but that End combined several nice tactical Themes, and looks like a Composition, with Double  Pawn Promotion, dominating on Queen, and contsructed a Mate Cell on...
