Customer: Do you recognize that there is a difference between one dollar and one cent?
Girl: DEFINITELY!
Customer: Do you recognize the difference between half a dollar and half a cent?
Girl: OF Course I am NOT stupid.
Customer: Therefore, you recognize that there is a difference between 0.002 dollars and 0.002 cents?
Girl: NO!
HAHAHAHAHAHA this kind of things prove Einstein right.

"I don't know. I'm not a mathematician!" manager of Verizon store.
"Well, it's obviously a difference of opinions..." manager of Verizon store.

Americans are so bad at math these days. I think whenever an employer hire people, they need to test their employees on mathematical skills. James8

I know I am not a mathematician but I am not completely dumb when it comes to math. I prefer the math that you can see not the hypothetical stuff

I must be a clod.  .002 cents = 2/1000 cents = 1/500 of a cent per kilobyte and there were 35,896 kb. 1/500 * 35896/1 = 71.79 cents.  $.002 = 2/1000 of a dollar = 1/500 of a dollar * 35896/1 = 71.79 dollars.  Ah, nothing to do with math, they are confusing apples with oranges (dollars & cents).  They need to know what the conversion of .002 dollars is in cents (obviously .00002).

I wouldn't say it has nothing to do with math, because dollars and cents aren't apples and oranges, they're just multiples of the same currency.  One cent is one hundredth  of a dollar.  So 1 cent = .01 dollars.
