interesting team matches should be organised more often and people who won should be given credit or trophies or something motivating. that is what i think

I'd suggest some weekly puzzles or contests.
I've started a program called the International Chess League. Would you like for your group to join? You play unrated team matches against other groups.

My Advice :
1) Make sure All Your Members hear You ! I.e. their Settings are right.
2) Make Your Group more interesting by recruiting interesting & lively members.
3) Fire inactive Members.
4) Reward Your active Members.
5) MOST IMPORTANT : KEEP YOUR MEMBERS BUSY, OTHERWISE THEY PLAY FOR OTHER GROUPS !!!

I have an idea! Whenever someone is active, reward them with points. When they have a huge amount of points, make them an admin! I can almost guarantee that many members will become more active! If I were you, I would make it very hard to become an Admin and stay one.
