What 40K books are you reading or have read?  Any recommendations?

CAUTION: Mark any spoilers!

I've been reading the first two books of the Horus Heresy series.  The first book, Horus Rising, was okay but not anything particularly notable.  However, I am greatly enjoying book 2: False Gods.  The plot is becoming very interesting (don't spoil it for me, I'm only part way through!)!

SPOILER ALERT:

I have to confess that when Horus fell in battle (last night's chapter), it almost brought a tear to my eye.

Give LET THE GALAXY BURN! a try.

It's a great collection of the best of 40K short fiction.  And you know what?  Chaos wins more than a few battles! Cry

Oh, he was real, alright.  But we became corrupted by warp spawn while injured.  Instead of dying with honor, his closest companions tried to save his life with fell powers in a misguided attempt at compassion.

It's all in False Gods....Laughing

I haven't gotten there yet, but didn't the Emperor fight Horus and defeat him, but the Emperor was so gravely wounded that they needed to put him in the Golden Throne to keep him alive?

the emporer onl won because horus had a shed of sanity left. he wouldn't have been so luck if he was fighting that phscopath Abbadon.

Anyway Im tring to get my hands on the book "Angels Of Darkness" because i desided to do dark angels for a second army

I switched from 40K to WH fantasy for the moment.  I am finishing off Tales of the Old World, a so-so collection of WH fantasy short stories.
