I use ChessBase 10, and ChessAssistant 8.1 for databases. Fritz 11, Deep Shreder, and Rybka to analyse games. I play chess online on FICS (freechess.org).

I am a fan of the Chessmaster series mainly because it is comprehensive as well as relatively inexpensive.  I have used Chessmaster 9000, the 10th edition, and now the Grandmaster edition.  I also own a chess laptop computer that I bought to use when away from home and unable to access the Internet.  However, its pieces are rather small making its use cumbersome at best.
