I'm going to make a Google Map we can share that marks where the group members generally live. Not as to invade your private, just a city or zip code would be cool. I'll start it off.

Updated as of Broccoli's post. We're all pretty close together. There's no reason we can't start a legitimate OTB club as an extension of this. =)

8 people have chimed in so far.

Ya, there's at least six of us all within 30 minutes of each other.  I wonder how many more there are near us?

BTW, the DeLand Area Chess Club meets every Tuesday @ the Books-a-Million at the Seminole Towne Center Mall, @ 7:00 PM.  IF anyone decides to head over there, let me know, and I'll meet you there.

I'm down for an East Orlando / Sanford / Oviedo meeting. I even have a Chess Clock that I got from working at a hobby store in Winter Park.

I have been trying to get a group together on Wednesday nights 7-9 PM at the Panera's on 434 at 2480 W State Road 434, Longwood: http://www.menuism.com/restaurants/panera-bread-longwood-235246/map I ran an ad on craigslist, 4 people initially responded, but only 1 has said that the time and place works for them. We are tentatively meeting for first time next wednesday (09-14-11), if anyone is interested.

Wednesdays are not a good night for me (although, the time slot is perfect).  I play piano/keys at church on Wednesday's, during that exact time slot.  However, if you ever go to another day/night, keep me informed, as I will be there (if no previous scheduling issues arise).  Actually, almost any day/night EXCEPT Wednesday works for me.

Wednesdays are bad for me also... Tuesdays and Thursdays are probably the best weekdays for me.

We are going to move to Thursdays. I know that it is short notice, but hopefully you can join us. If not tomoorow, than maybe next week. 7-9 pm at Panera's at 2480 W State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32779 (http://www.superpages.com/bp/Longwood-FL/Panera-Bread-L0141402831.htm) I have 2 chess sets and one analog chess clock. If you can bring chess set and/or clocks, that would be fantastic.
