Ok i listen mostly music from the past decades (60's,70's) but we cannot live with the past all the time (or can we?!).Anyway i am looking for some promising groups that produce some worthy music.They will be formed about 2000 and after.From the little i know in my opinion here are some:

Kaiser Chiefs.Their album Yours truly angry mod released at 2007 is nice

Hard-Fi,an English indie rock band.I have stuck with their song Suburban Knights!

Arctic Monkeys.I don't know a lot about them,but i trust them!

Beta Band:Not new but fantastic group.Go for the "Three Ep's" and the song Monolith

Kasabian:like them a lot,Club Foot is a perfect song.The band took their name from Linda Kasabian the young pregnant girl who drove the car in which Charles Manson escaped after the murder in the house of Sharon Tate the wife of Roman Polanski

The Killers:Very good

The Raveonettes are Danish rock 'n' Roll duo

Arcade Fire indie rock from Canada.I like them

Devendra Banhart.a Venezuelan-American folk-rock singer and musician. Banhart's music has been classified as indie,phych-freak folk.Very good artist

Editors.British post-punk,indie rock.They are also good

The Scotish group Franz Ferdinand

I know that they are not so new groups,but i don't listen the present music industry a lot.If you have in mind some other groups or you have something to add about the above groups fell free to do it,here is the topic!

Kings of Leon- just got turned on to them

Wolfmother- As well

Public Property- they have been around for a couple of years

My band just opened up for Public Property, who was named in JamBase magazine as the hardest working band in 2007. 

NOTHING ORIGINAL OR EVEN THE LEAST INTERESTING IN THE INDUSTRY TO SPEAK OF TRY AS THEY MAY ALL GROUPS , MUSICIANS, ENTERTAINERS ARE LOST IN THE AMERICAN IDOL PANDEMIC WHICH HAS TOTALLY CORRUPTED ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN OVERNIGHT SUCCESS ...........THE WORLD IS RULED BY HANNA MONTANA !!! SUBMIT OR BE CAST OUT!

I love Kings of Leon...not a new band as in they have been around for while but they change their style slightly with their albums...the latest stuff is my favourite so far!

Luckily I think in England we have got some new stuff coming through which isnt ruled by Hanna Montana...that would not be pleasant!

I think you have both right and wrong.American Idol pandemic i suppose exist and the problem begins from the people that listen to them.Everyone can choose,but the majority choose what they serves them,whatever the media supports,TV etc. But to the other hand if you search the are some remarkable groups.I can't believe that the world is ruled from a person that i don't even know (Montana)!!
