Why ? there are many such puzzles in Xiangqi, but much less in chess

    I guess most Xiangqi team members know both Xiangqi and chess, so I raise this question here.

    Maybe you have already studies lots of Xiangqi puzzles, do you find that many of them, especially those puzzles need to checkmate the opponent in several  moves, you have to check at each move until the checkmate, otherwise, the next move your opponent will checkmate you. 

    but I could not see so much this kind of puzzle in chess, are you ? 

    why ? is it the result of the nature (Xiangqi is more "fast and fury) ? or the culture inside ? or some other causes ?

    You make some good points there , I'm really not sure what the reason for that is, though I have a feeling Cannons may have something to do with the mate /conter mate situation.
