I am thinking of hosting a fisher random tournament please post if you would come and what time controls, entry fee, prize structure, etc you would like to see I would pay out 100 percent I was thinking sometime in February

It would sound like a fun tournament that you would likely have to be open to the public since it is not rated (as I know of) by USCF. Also having a set layout for each round is going to be needed so every game can be recorded as a certain set up each game, not all of them have to be the same, but every board starting identical should be nessiary; have them all planned out before the tournament begins, granted you use the 6 sided die method or using position a website creates. (Keep them quiet so there is no guarentee that anyone may try to look at the positions before the tournament starts)
I would say g/30 with it not available to be rated and will make players figure out the opening in a quick way.
Since this would be a new tournament, and has nothing to do for qualifiying with any high level tournament it could be a 5-10 dollar tournament with payout being equal to what ever was put in, granted you don't have to put money in other places (building). Blitz/True ratings should be taken into consideration when giving prizes out since the skill levels are still in the equation.

I can't make it on the 12th, but I'd play (weather permitting) if the entry fee was not more than $10.
I'm not a big fan of the whole series thing, but Jim's Prairie series does manage to keep the same people showing up, so there is some merit to it. I like 1 day tournaments with a reasonable entry fee, but I'm in the minority on that.
