MatchPlay

This group is to try and encourage match play, in a similar format to that of the World Championships. By this we mean matches of a 6 or 12 game length. This is a format that creates interesting situations, as it encourages players to play both aggresively in matches where they need to gain an advantage, and defensively where a draw will help bring them towards their target. We hope to set up some of the following, with this concept of matchplay being at the centre of them all: A league (the exact format is yet to be determined). A knock out competition. Some form of ladder..... However our primary purpose is to allow people with an interest in playing matches over multiple games, to have a common venue to find each other. Finally it is a group where membership requests have to be approved, but there are only two requirements for membership: A low timeout ratio (preferably zero) An interest in playing multiple game matches!
