Yes, MadnessRed. The easiest way to see it- we need more points than the number of players.

14 games so 28 points, if we have 16.5 now, does that mean we've won?

Right.  Locked and loaded!  I was delaying so that more people would get a chance to sign up and more could have games  We filled three places in that time so all is well.  Have a good game everyone.

It does indeed.

We just need Somerset to lock their team...

Frome Congress? How does that relate to this match? Tongue out

The bigger counties are Yorkshire (78 players!) and Lancashire (49 players).

What are the bigger counties? I would have thought Hants would have a reasonable number. Although, having thought about it, Surrey, London, Midlands counties and northern counties might all outnumber us quite heavily.

With regards to this match, I played in the Frome Congress once.

Yes, they are seperate leagues. Somerset might have enough members to join, for example, the U1800 section... Might make sense. You may have to wait until next season, though.

Ok, that makes sense.  Do the U1800 and U1500 have their own leagues?  And does that mean that the big teams can win more?  Not complaining, just curious.

Well, this match is in the open category, which means there are no rating restrictions. There are two other rating categories, U1800 and U1500. They're mainly for the bigger teams though.

What does the "open" mean?

Very, very sorry Somerset, I promise the match is perfect this time!
