    Members of The Chess Club, please remember that you are playing your games on behalf of the Club. Your teammates and the Club, besides yourselves, have an interest in the outcome of your games. So do not timeout or resign without making your very best effort to win. Doing so could cost them points and possibly the match, thereby undermining their team effort and letting them down when they were counting on you to do your best. The Chess Club and its team matches are not here for you to use as conveniences to artificially manipulate your rating (sandbagging), as some have been doing. They are here, instead, for chess players of honesty, integrity, and good sportsmanship to have the opportunity to enjoy competitive chess played in a friendly atmosphere. If that's not what you want, then you should look elsewhere for a match to join. Don't join this one. If you ignore or defy this message, you do so at your own risk. There will be consequences. One of the possible sanctions for losing The Chess Club's team match games on time is expulsion from the Club.
