  • No, I will not put 1200 players up against 1700, to big a spread. The matches are to be fair with ratings nearly equal. We start with the lower rankings then we will progress to the upper echelon. Never will there be more then a 50 oint rating spread between the highest rated players in the team. If you can't get 5 players under 1250?

  • Below 1250 we have to less players, better would be 1250-1700 ?

  • Ok, you can submit your 5 man team roster and I will get in touch with the other team. We will start with an <1250, then expand as we get going. Keep in mind you need to get a commitment from your 5 players, as they will be the only ones allowed to play in this team match, any others will have to be removed.

  • Good. Lets start! As we have only 5 teams registerd now, lets play with 5 players from each team. As a test for things to come later :)

  • To start, group admins need to commit a team (roster). Maybe start with 10 players per team and under 1300 for division 1 (div 2 later). Basically, these 10 players will remain on the same roster and play ? 5 to 10 other teams. The way I have it set up is that the same team (roster) plays a Swiss style team match. We can then expand as needed as interest grows.

  • ok then, when need to start somewhere though

  • I hesitate to post the rules as too many just want to take them for their own use. I worked too hard on them so that someone else can take all the credit.

  • Please post the rules here though, the way team matches work, are scored, etc. and the way vote chess matches will ditto, and the several different rating tiers the team matches will take place in. And any other rules you can think of.
