Aussie International Chess Players

• I am looking at trying to get a annual local Australian tournament together which features all the Australian players from chess.com. It would be advertised as the first Australian International chess players tournament. This would be used to promote chess.com to more Australians and help build the players base. The costs for travel, food and acommodation is a detering factor which could be over come through sponsorships. If sponsorship was available and promoted as such on a national level then sponsors would also be greatly benefit. Maybe other players would follow our example and we would be able to conduct an international competition with winning representatives from each country. Maybe the world championship could be played in the greatest city in the world as a show of unity, mateship and respect. Let me know what you think?.
