  • Well, even if deanh hasn't logged on all this time, this is the most activity we've ever had since this group started! Maybe we should invent some imaginary people who join this group and have some conversations going, eh?

  • deanh hasn't logged in to chess.com since December. Kinda like some churchgoers who... you know, just stop coming.

  • Perhaps the fate of this group is emblematic of Unitarian Universalism in general: more people might be a part of it, if only they knew about it... and if only we did a better job of letting the world know we're here.

  • I attended a UU in a wealthy suburb near me, Shaker Hts. when my kids were young, but not being wealthy I didn't join. After retirement I was helping a friend who broke her ankle & she mentioned how helpful her UU friends were. I asked if she went to the Shaker Hts. church, she said no, Cleve. Hts. So I went & joined soon after. They obviously don't advertize well at least in newspapers. They are on-line now, but struggling to stay at 100 members. Marietree

  • I see we have a new member. Hello, deanh! We're pretty quiet here so I hope you'll add some chat and merriment. For starters, why don't all of us tell how we came to be UU's?
