The purpose of this group is to try to classify all openings in chess according to some of their properties (like open/closed positions, tactical/positional openings etc). If this ever gets shape, it will be a massive project, but by working together I'm sure we can get very far. A good understanding of chess and some knowledge about opening theory is required to contribute to this project.
