Hi Si, I actually met a 17 year old in live last night whose favourite band is Dire Straits... it is music that will never outdate. They have a very unique sound, unique lyrics, unique music, unique songs... no other band is like them... I listen to them almost daily... sometimes I feel like a change, but when I listen again I love it just as much as always..am crazy for them and wish they never broke up.. Keep praying they will do a reunion tour.. I would pay anything to go!
