  • Nakamura is due to move to St Louis, Missouri, if he hasn't done so by now. Apparently a rich politician is throwing a ton of money to turn St Louis into the chess capital of the USA, and many GMs are moving there as a result.

  • Congrats to Nakamura's recent victory over Aronian. If you count Morphy (and I do), that makes him the 3rd World Chess Champion from the U.S. (Fischer, Berliner in correspondence).
