  • In all (inlcuding scholastic events) we had 225 entries into the tournament. The top 3-4 boards were broadcast live on Chess.com on 4/21-22/2012. We had a large following representing 40 nations. The open section had representation from 7 different states from our region and in addition one player from Vancouver, B.C. Canada nearly 2,500 miles away! The average rating of our top ten boards was 2275 --not bad for our fourth event! We also gave out $23,500 in college scholarships for the top 3 ove
