Team Singapore aims to be a welcoming place promoting chess as well as a chance to make friends and have fun. All Singaporean citizens as well as residents are invited to join and contribute to the team with the chance to represent Singapore on the Chess.com World and Asian Leagues, World Cities League as well as participating in challenging Vote Chess games.

It lies 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator, south of the Malaysian state of Johor and north of Indonesia's Riau Islands. At 707 km2 (273 sq mi) Singapore is one of four remaining true city-states in the world. It is the smallest nation in Southeast Asia.
