I learned chess at the age of 6 by watching my father playing his friends. A friend of his named Bruce asked me if I would like to learn to play. He was surprised when he discovered that I already had learned most of the moves by watching him and my father play! I thoroughly enjoy everything about the game of chess-its history, biographies of its great players, and chessplayers in particular! Everyone brings something different to the game of chess and everyone seems to get something different from the game. Chess is a game that can be social or solitary. It can be just a game for some or a passion for others.
