I am Akshita Gorti. I am now Women Candidate Master and I started to learn chess at the age of 5. I play many tournaments within United States. I am still learning. My parents teach me chess. I love books by Pandolfini. I am still playing, working hard towards defining success.
I won the North American Youth Chess Championship in Montreal, Canada in the year 2010 (Under 8 Girls) and was 2nd (tied for 1st Place) in 2011 North American Youth Championship (Under 10 Girls) in New York, USA.
I am greatful to my Coaches (Mrs. Padmaja, Mr. Snow, Mrs. Aarthi Ramesh, Mr. Adu, Mr. G B Ramesh , Kayden Troff, IM John B and now Mr Magesh P) in the past and present. I am greatful that Mr. Ramesh showed us the Video on - "Never Quit, Never Give up" in the year of 2010 - Click on the links to watch these videios:
