Greetings from Austria!
I do use databases, opening books and the analysis board in turn-based (correspondence; days per move) chess and encourage you to do the same.
If for any reason you don't want me to use a database in our current game, please tell me so and I won't; assuming you agree not to use one either.
In thematic tournaments I will always use opening books and/or databases though, because their whole point is to study that opening.
I have no problem with slow play. Please feel free to play at a pace that is comfortable to you. I will occassionally use conditional moves, but don't let that pressure you into moving faster than you normally would.
Also, please note that I have turned chat off in live play, because I want to concentrate on the games. It is not meant as an offense to anyone and especially nothing personal against any of you!
Peace out & good chess everybody!
PS: If anybody suspects me of cheating or has a problem with me, please directly contact the chess.com support staff and have them check my games or contact me by private message and we might be able to clear up misunderstandings. But no public accusations or name-calling, please. If you do that I will report you, and ask chess.com to close your account.
We're all here to play some good chess, to learn something and to have fun. Don't let some immature people ruin this for everyone else!
