I love animals, but especially cats. Reading is a huge pleasure, as is writing. As for what I think about -- oh, those timeless questions: Why am I here? Will I still be here after I am gone? Is there any meaning to life other than the one we assign it individually? Is there any reason to struggle to do the "right" thing when it would be so much easier to do the more "comfortable" thing? And how do we determine what is the "right" thing? What is going to happen to this once beautiful earth that we have succeeded in ruining? Who are humans, that they think they can improve on Nature? Have we ever?
My absolutely favorite way to spend time is to play chess. Had I not a family to feed, a house to clean, friends to meet, books to read, my memoirs to write, laundry to wash, and dust bunnies to catch, I would do nothing but play chess all day.
I must add, though, that I love the chats with my opponents (those who chat) almost as much as -- sometimes more than -- the games themselves. I've made some terrific friends here, some of whom I look forward to meeting soon.
Ah! Music, cats, books, chess, friends...... Life is good.
