About Me:
I am a free-spirited thinker (or I think I am :p) Hmm, chess is one of the minor interests I picked up in high school and quit while in college when I figured the less I play 5 min games the better were my school grades! So correspondence chess kinda makes it more interesting and I can actually log off w/o losing the game.
Be warned: I don't use books, comp programs or databases while playing ..it's all pure unadulterated human brain! Still trying to learn the intricacies of the game, so I felt it's better to use my own brain than borrowing the wisdom of Fischer and Kasparov.
I am a huge La Liga fan and an ardent Real Madrid supporter!!
One book that influenced my chess in every conceivable way is - Kramnik: Life and Games. Most of my chess-playing friends were annoyed by it prefering Shirov's 'Fire on Board' instead but I absolutely loved it. So far, I have studied only a few games from it but it has already left a mark on me.
