My passion for Chess resides in a form of a hobby & a form of art! An avid admirer of the old school: Anderssen, Morphy, Tarrasch, Nimzowitsch, Tartakower, Capablanca, Réti, Alekhine, Euwe, Najdorf & Reshevsky.
Reasonably comfortable with the Ruy Lopez, Closed Sicilian & the Benoni, but I may vary with a random selection from the A00.
Preferred reading materials: Silman, Watson, Soltis, Müller & Dvoretsky, along with puzzles from Nunn & Polgár (László). I’m a fan of David Bronstein & Judit Polgár.
Was active in OTB & would’ve stuck to it, but my career narrowed it down to Turn-Based or Blitz on Yahoo :-)
