About Me:
The Arts are among my passions, along with the outdoors, travel and good wine! This has been a good year for my chess and my personal photographic work with three successful one man shows. Bobby Fischer's victory brought me to tournament play, my first was the 1973 US Open in Chicago, my last two were the 2011 Southern California Open in San Diego in which I won my section with 5 1/2 out of 6 and the American Open where I tied for first with 4 wins and 4 draws. This year I have been enjoying teaching, giving simultaneous exhibitions and playing "postal" chess on Chess.com. I love Fischer's games and also have particularly enjoyed playing through those of Anderssen, Morphy, Rubinstein, Capablanca, Alekhin, Tal and Nezhmetdinov.
