disciples.org is the web page of my denomination, the first founded on American soil. I was raised in southeastern NC. I am also a state-certified counselor for perpetrators of domestic violence, sent to me by the courts. Married 32 years. Two children - marketing and electrical engineering. My wife is a nurse. We have two chihuahuas. I like working in the yard around the house, quiet restaurants, the Outer Banks of NC, comedy and science fiction.
My style is best described as the comic Steve Martin described himself as a "Ramblin' Guy." No rhyme nor reason. I've never had time to read chess books or memorize many openings or go very deep into tactics. I like the beauty of the game particularly in that each game is different and creative. I like to meet people and make friends and discover similar interests. Chess is relaxing for me. I don't take it too seriously.
