About Me:
I'm a father of two boys, ages 7 and 5. I'm originally from Michigan, but now I live in North Carolina. For those that might be wondering, my favorite baseball team is the Detroit Tigers. I learned chess as a kid, but I never put the time into it that it requires to really be good. I have fun playing and thats what matters most to me. About my play on this site. First of all, I play slowly. I may take a day, or two, or three to make a move. I do not accept challenges or play games that are faster than 3 days/move, and I even limit those, preferring slower games. If you see me online, do not necessarily expect me to make a move. I often like to look at a board two, three or even four times before moving, and I am often reading forums, exchanging messages, etc., so just because I'm logged on does not mean I'm even playing chess.

1000 moves

Submitted by Baseballfan on Mar 23, 2008 6:54am.

Today, March 23, 2008, I crossed the 1000 move mark on this site. I realize that this milestone is really only significant to me, but I still wanted to make a record of it. This is truly the best chess site I've seen, and I am glad that I can be ...Read more »
