I'm a USCF Senior TD and a USCF Life member. I am a Life member of the Texas Chess Association and have served as Secretary and Vice-President of the TCA in the past as well as currently serving as chairman of the TCA Bylaws Committee. I have also served as Chairman and representative on the TCA Scholastic Committee and as the Region V Director. I founded the Huntsville (TX) Chess Club back in 1984 and I have served as President and primary organizer until just a couple of years ago. I am a cofounder and organizer of the Temple (TX) Chess Club (2010).
I currently teach Developmental Mathematics at Temple College. I have taught Mathematics at Blinn College-Bryan Campus and Lee College-Huntsville Center. I was also an Adjunct in Physics at Sam Houston State University and in Mathematics at Angelina College.
I am an Astronomy buff and love reading science, science fiction and humor (preferably all in the same book). My music preferences are blues, jazz, rock and roll, celtic, and classical.
