Retired after a career in public international law, spending the better part of my career working within the NATO family fo subsidiary bodies. I enjoy travel and watching European football, particularly when I'm not able to get US football on TV. I like to read and am intensely interested in world affairs.
Have always loved the game. Started playing when I was 13. Work prevented any serious play as there was nothing like the Internet on-line chess for most of that time. Can't stand reading chess books. Evidently I have some sort of knack for playing pretty good chess nevertheless.
