About Me:

I didn't learn chess until late teens and didn't play seriously until my mid 20's and for only two years.  Family and career took priority. I started playing again several years ago when I discovered online/live chess.  I also discovered that chess notation had changed.  I still struggle with the "new" algebraic notation.

I joined the local chess club to gauge my game and quickly learned that I could play pretty well against 1700+ players in a long game.  However, even the little kids beat me at 10 min blitz!  That's one of my goals here - learn to play 10 min blitz games better.

Recently, I started a series of articles in my blog for the beginner and average chess players here on " How to Play Better Than Average Chess." I hope you enjoy the articles.
