Just thought that it might be useful to know that although I am french, I have been living in the UK for 20 years now so needless to say, speak english fluently. Lets just say that my roots are in France but my leaves are in the UK.
I decided i was going to play a few months ago, as part of my new year resolutions. So one day, i came into the office and announced to my boss that i was learning to play chess only to discover that he himself was a mean chess player!! Since then i have been "minced" everyday. But i must admit, I am hooked and wished my friends could play too but very few do (hence joining chess.com to get my fix!). I play at work with my boss on most days around lunch time, as a way to relax. I have no particular style or favourite opening but im intrigued by the fact that no chess game is the same and each game is unique. Favourite player? Well at the moment it s Bobby Fisher but that might change as i get to know the game better.
