About Me:

My name is David Ulissi, I am currently a student and learned how to play chess my freshman year in high school. A bit late considering most grandmasters begin at age 4 or 5. I love to play chess, I am a member of the USCF and have participated in some scholastic tournaments, but I am looking forward to going to even bigger tournaments. Chess is a great way to meet new people, get smarter, and best of all, have fun! While most people are playing football, I'm playing chess, and with it, I consider myself an individual.

As playing White I almost always open with the Queen's Pawn, and for black I will usually play the Sicilian and Benoni Defenses. I am very picky about Pawn Structure and will go through the trouble to prevent weaknesses. In many of my games, having a better pawn structure over my opponent's has scored me many wins.
