About Me:
Right now on parental leave from my occupation as research engineer and PhD student in the field of pathobiology and veterinary medicine. Except for chess, I love travels, photography and really good music! I like to play without opening books or databases, as I consider the understanding (and/or memorization) of the opening to be part of the skill. I usually explore my own ideas in openings, which might not always be successful... However, a few moves AFTER a certain move, I might check a database to see what I SHOULD have done... And I wish more players would play the game like this...
Recently, I've started to analyize my games with a program afterwards, and it's very educational. I care not as much for winning or losing right now, since either way, I will have something to analyze!
